Vaccinations stimulate you pets immune system to help protect them against certain diseases. Many of the diseases we vaccinate our pets against can be very costly to treat, and are often fatal.
Even the best cared for pets are at risk of coming into contact with diseases either directly from other animals or indirectly from the environment e.g. from the air, or the ground.
Vaccinations are a key component of your pets preventative healthcare programme and one of the easiest ways to help them live a long and healthy life.
Young animals are more susceptible to disease. Vaccinations can commence from as early as 6 weeks old in both puppies and kittens. A booster will be required 3-4weeks after the initial vaccination, followed by yearly boosters throughout your pets life.
Annual booster vaccinations help keep your pets immune system in tip-top condition throughout their life. It also provides a great chance for your pet to receive a ‘check-up’. Remember your cat or dog ages a lot quicker than you do, so frequent health assessments are important.
